Hey JJ, yes I’ve been doing that to some of them on panel and one or two on canvas for a few years now. The ones I’ve kept are still as bright as the day I did them. Do give it a try and let me know what you think!

Interesting to read you spray your pasels with varnish. I may have to try that, thanks for the tip

This close-up flower painting will brighten any room no matter where one lives! Gorgeous! I love to see (and paint) into the hearts of flowers – so exciting and beautiful. Well done, Colleen! Congratulations!!!

Really love the wramth of this piece. The peaches certainly look somewhat fuzzy and soft, you have captured their texture beautifully. Can’t believe it’s completed on suede. I’ve never worked on anything other than paper. I’ll have to try out other textures one day.

Hey Vanessa, The gallery sent out postcards which is great. I posted it on Facebook and my blog and also tweeted. I think that is all. It helps that I go to Ohio almost every year and have had the joy of getting to know quite a few people out there!

That’s great news Colleen! Sales and commissions, doesn’t get better than that. Hope you had a wonderful time during the event. What did you do prior to the event to try and get as many in attendance as possible?

Definately cropped square, however I would be inclined not to crop off any of the shadow…or the pair o’ pears.
